Cub Scout Pack  70

Our Story

 Founded in 1972, Cub Scouts Pack 70 has been a proud part of the Portage, Wisconsin community for over five decades. Chartered through Portage Presbyterian Church and part of the Glacier’s Edge Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Pack 70 has helped generations of young scouts learn, grow, and thrive through the values and adventures of Cub Scouting.

A Legacy of Character and Community

Since our founding, Pack 70 has been dedicated to developing responsible, kind, and capable youth. We serve boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade, offering an inclusive and welcoming environment where scouts gain confidence, build friendships, and explore the world around them.

For more than 50 years, our scouts have:

• Camped under the stars, hiked Wisconsin’s trails, and tackled outdoor challenges that build skills and resilience.

• Built and raced Pinewood Derby cars, earned achievements, and celebrated milestones with their families.

• Given back to the Portage community through service projects, parades, clean-up efforts, and food drives.

Every activity is rooted in the values of the Scout Oath and Law, emphasizing honor, helpfulness, bravery, and respect for others.

Family-Focused and Volunteer-Led

Pack 70 is powered by the dedication of volunteer leaders and engaged families. We believe Cub Scouting is strongest when parents and guardians are actively involved—whether leading a den, organizing events, or cheering from the sidelines.

This strong sense of community and shared purpose is what has kept Pack 70 going strong for generations.
